Like the sweet fragrance of roses, so is the aroma of relationships that leave us with a smile in our hearts. We are gladdened by it, our spirits are lifted by it, and we are content to be touched with the beauty of it.
I love photographying relationships that are “real”. They really do make me smile…long into the editing process, I love looking your faces and remembering our laughter and silliness during our shoot!
Maria and Morgan’s session was a lot of fun, goofiness, and good natured teasing between Mom and Daughter!
I loved spending a couple of hours with them…getting to know them a little better, enjoying the sweet aroma of a precious relationship!

Special milestones in our babies lives…rolling over, sitting up, first tooth, crawling, and how we love to see
that first smile! Then comes the first birthday and before you know it the days of babyhood slip quickly away. Katie’s One Year Birthday Session was such a blessing. We got to see her at birth, we’ve watched her grow, and now she’s on the brink of giving her brothers a run for their money! Just look at these sparkling blue eyes and tell me you don’t see it there…watch out guys this next year is going to be fun!

It isn’t often I schedule a photo shoot with a 250 lb. bear…well, this wasn’t exactly scheduled – he just
lumbered into our yard, ate our trash, visited a while, and finally left! Amid the protest of my husband and the excitement of our girls I got some really cute shots of our “friendly” Boo Boo – so named by my youngest daughter! For more pictures and details of the eventful evening visit my blog site at: http://beyondbeautyphotography.wordpress.com/ .

Photography is so many things. One huge plus it has done is to make me vastly more aware of “details”
around me. I won’t begin to bore you w/ how excited I get watching light reflect and shine in our world.
Two weeks ago today I was in the mountains of Eastern KY. I saw such beautiful light in the eyes of wonderful children and adults. I’ve posted over 300 pictures in a gallery through the proof page if you’d like to walk through that week with us. The week was amazing. My heart was tenderized as the Light worked in and through those around me.
Here are just a couple of those smiles…smiles that melted my heart…still bring tears to my eyes when I pray…smiles that have changed me!

Isn’t it refreshing to find a gentle and quiet spirit in a young woman today? To find beauty that glows from deep within a person’s being. Anna Feith is such a person. When we met her several years ago she was a quiet young girl. Today she bubbles with laughter, a smile is her constant friend, yet there is such gentleness and grace about her. When Feith saw Emily’s pictures at Grove Park Inn in Asheville, NC, she decided that was the place for her too!
I have to put a plug in for the kind people at Grove Park Inn – they are the BEST in customer service!! They smile and take care of us like we are their guest and we are just using their location. It’s a wonderful place to visit and eat! We are working on checking out how wonderful it would be to stay and visit their spa
.
Here are a few of Feith’s pictures on our beautiful visit to NC!

I have four daughters! I coached cheerleaders before that! I am married to an amazing husband – but for almost 20 years I have concentrated on photographing my girls. THEN Ethan called and asked to shoot some headshots. Talk about cramming for final exams. My girls thought I was back in school. It’s a different ballgame shooting guys vs. girls – one in which I had no experience. I’m so thankful Ethan gave me that opportunity to learn and grow. With Mariah at my side we hit the streets of Easley and had a great time.

For those of you who have contacted me about the web site, thanks for your patience. Matt, thanks for your patience in working with me!! Sometimes it’s nice when things get wiped clean and we get to start over. I was trying to think, “What on earth did I have posted in the news column and on the blog side?” I can’t remember what I cooked for supper yesterday so forget what was last posted. BUT, with Easter just behind us, I began thinking about just how wonderful it is to have a fresh start. About the wonderful cross of Christ and His ressurrection – creating in me a new creation – making a life beyond beauty! That is great news – the best I can think to share with you!! It has nothing to do with photography, but it’s a great way to come back on line! More photo’s to come!! Soon I’ll be able to show you some of the Bridal picture’s I’ve just taken.
Okay, I have to share just one upcoming event – Easley Christian High School – I am so ready for your JR/SR Banquet!! I know you guys are excited too.
Before that next weekend we are heading down to GA to attend Lyndsie & Daniels wedding! All exciting times!!

Want to get away from the noise and busyness of life – try traveling with the Beggs family!! There is no
escaping the noise and busy life, but a week tucked away at a cabin in the woods of SC is sure to refresh and rejuvenate everyone. No, there were no snakes to be found this time, everyone was disappointed that they didn’t see a bear – oh my! But long walks, family talks, and lots of laughter is a prescription for relaxation at it’s best. I was privileged to capture a few of the smiles and moments before their time at the cabin came to an end. One more reason this week was special, it’s probably the last vacation with the oldest daughter before she gets married. Lots of memories!!

What a fun afternoon – and an exciting one as well! I’ve taken Senior pictures before but today was my first official shoot with Beyond Beauty Photography! It’s pretty hard to blow it when your subject is a beautiful young lady with bright eyes and a smile that is radiant!. We had a great location in Greenville – it will be one of my favorites – and except for the wind – had a perfect afternoon!
Rosie, thanks so much for allowing me to be a part of your senior year! I enjoyed every minute of our time this afternoon – except for the billowing backdrop! Oh well, live and learn!! You are beautiful!

There are many things in life that we hold on to. Things that consume our time, our energy, our focus. Things that can become our treasure. But things don’t last – relationships are meant to last. I recently took my two youngest girls up to a state park – it was beautiful! I loved to hear their laughter – loved to watch them enjoy life. I am so blessed with abundant treasures! No, it’s not a stress free life, but a life surrounded by love, family, friends, filled with faith and hope, – treasures!
